Talking laptop for trade/sale

ibm laptop...its the i series p2 with 256 mb ram. upgradable. has usb ports and all the others ppl want. the screen works great. the harddrive is 5gig. battery does take charge. there is no bad pixels. it has win 98 operating system. i was told it could run xp but i never tried it because i do not have a copy of it.this would be great for them lt1 mods for your camaro or firebird. make an offer and you may own it.

I have bought a Xbox and would like to have some more games to go with it. if someone would trade me some of there old games i might just trade even. I must like the games though.

Re: laptop for trade/sale

It could run XP but it'd be better off running 2000. 2000 would run much faster on it and much more reliably than 98, too.

Might I suggest selling this on ebay and then taking the money and buying some used games on ebay?

People tend to pay WAY more than used laptops are worth in terms of street value on ebay. Not sure why, but you should definitely take advantage of it.

BTW, for anyone looking at this thread, IBM makes some of the most plain/boring looking laptops out there, but don't let that fool you, they're also among the best in terms of reliability.

Yes you can turn it off, but the performance in XP will still lack compared to 2000 even with the graphic crap turned off.

And while they're both based on the same NT platform there are many many differences between the two. Almost more differences than similarities in many regards.

I get what your saying. I would do it that way but by the time i buy an xbox mod it,load it with 30-40 games and install a 300gig hard drive i could have bought a brand new dell laptop for $540. how much do you want for it cash outright? i just need it to datalog is all.

Re: laptop for trade/sale

for the laptop? $150. I'm losing big money on it for that price. i figure its better to get something out of it than nothing at all.
I figure its worth about 10-15 games depending on what the games are. $10-20 value each.
