Shaft mount stand, Head bolt issue.

I am using a set of dart pro 1 series cylinder heads, with a set of jessel shaft mount rockers and arp cylinder head bolts. The bolts are too tall for the shaft mount stand to sit flush with the head when using the washers that came with them. My question is, is it ok to not use the washers on the top cylinder head bolts? I am sure others have ran in to this issue and I am wanting to know how to correct it.

Edit: This is an lt1 engine, forgot to mention in top part.

When I purchased my Jesel SS shafts, they came with 4 replacement bolts for where the stand goes over the bolts. The supplied bolts have a smaller head to fit under the satnds. Also, I would not use a head bolt without a washer underneath it.

I see no reason why you couldnt grind down the head of the bolts a little. My head bolts fit, but this is with AFR 210's. If they need slight grinding I say go for it, or call Jesel and get the bolts they supply.

I grind the bolt heads down in the valve grinder - that keeps them square and smooth, you can do it by hand just try and keep them as square as possible to keep from loosing surface contact between the bolt and socket.
