Comp Height

Recently got some Diamond Pistons for an eventual motor build, the compression height is 1.250. When I spoke to Comp star, they recommended building a 355 with a 6" rod, and that 383 with a 5.850 rod would require the block to be decked .050 which they didn't recomend doing. Like to See what you guys thought, it may very well get a 355 with a custom cam and be done with it.

Why did you get 350 pistons if you wanted to do a 383?

Either do a 6.0" rod 3.48" stroke motor or send those pistons back for some 1.125" comp height pistons for a 3.75 stroke motor.

I bought the pistons used, still new. I'll end up building the 355. Ordered the CompStar 6" rods, money saved from reusing the stock crank can go towards a tubular K member.
