BB Broken Lifter Questions

BB Broken Lifter Questions
I would like to hear from the experienced guy on the site. My problem is I am running a 454 in my 68 Camaro and I broke a lifter after 1300 miles. I was running Crower Lifters. Dart Pro 1 Heads with Jessel Pro Series 1.75 roller rockers and the spring pressure is 300 closed and 800 opened. I am now going to Cam Motion which are made by Morel. They are 904 body, Ultra Pro, Pressure Oiling. I took the engine apart and found that they (Watsons Racing) had put a high volume pump in it which I never do and oil restrictors. I am running a 10 quart Milidon pan with the side tray. I have seen my oil pressure gauge drop (5 to 10 Pounds) and go back up when I am driving on the street over 4000 RPM. Yes the car see's idle time at stop lights which I know is hard on them.
Cam Specs are L.S. 111.1
ID 276.5 Lift .735
ED284.7 Lift .734
My first question is. Would the restrictors cause oil blowing by the pressure release to aerate the oil which is causing the pleasure drop when it hits the pump? I have run BB's with a standard pump to 7500 RPM and a 6 quart pan and never had this problem.
Would the Oil Restrictors starve the lifters of oil and cause early failure or is this normal with the abuse they see.
Does a HV pump and oil restrictors sound counter productive?

Re: BB Broken Lifter Questions
I don't run BBC but my SBC's I've run on the street have been pretty stout. I ran a .630" 264/274 solid on the street for years in my old motor. Standard volume pump and no restrictors.
What is the clearance between the pan and the pickup? I suspect it's too close.
