hunting idle
I have a 91 Z28 355cid auto. This only started recently. When I come to a complete stop the car idles fine at like 600-700rpms for a cew seconds then the idle hunts from 500 to 800rpms and I have to give her a little gas with one foot on the gas and one on the brake to even her out. Once she levels off shes fine for 30 seconds then she hunts again. The car doesnt stall or miss and actually runs and drives really well. Any ideas?

Your O2 sensor is probably wearing out, it may not be dead yet
but you could be running too lean or too rich.
The previous owner of my car had it go out on her and didn't do
jack about it. It had hunting idle a little, never stalled but ran
very very rich.
Next i've gotta replace the plugs and wireset, put a new heater
core in, flush the coolant system an yeah blah blah.
Anyways, check out what your computer is telling ya, if a sensor
is indeed dead it'll tell you which one. O2 sensors are hard to
replace from top-down.
