i got the car with a eldelbrock performer intake and a 600 cfm with a electric choke carb i try a new fuel pump because it seems that there is too much fuel going to the carb,...can i get a lil tip or suggestions ?

What kind of engine is it? What kind of fuel pump are you running now?

is a 305 i put back the stock pump because i tried a new pump and it didnt work

Are you saying that you have an intank electric fuel pump with a carburetor? Hopefully you have a fuel pressure regulator on that system, set to no more than 8-9psi. If you don't have a pressure regulator, well, thats your problem.

yeah i have a pressure regulator is set at 5 1/2 rite now

sorry about taking long to answer but this the thing I put a new fuel pump the stock that is 12 to 17 psi they guy I got it had it with a kill switch and a fuel pressure regulator set at 5 psi but the car kept choking when I turn it on like if the regulator wasnt doing it's job and letting all the fuel go to the carb...just put a lower psi pump and now the caf drives but when I'm at a light on idle it turns off lights are on so no electrical problem...
