The setup will fit on any SBC without special bolt pattern heads (i.e. Vortecs, Fastburns, etc). 87+ is centerbolt valve covers/hydraulic roller cam, I *think.* In that case, it wouldn't affect the intake setup.

yeah i knew i would have to put a fuel pump and some computer stuff which i really wanted to stay away form and such even though i know alot about it i like to stay low tech but it's got a th400r tranny i think i can't rember off hand sorry i'll get all the slips cause it has a completly diffrent setup and things will post soon

It will work on 87 up center bolt heads(except vortec) no problems
it will work on pre 86 perimiter bolt heads by just ovaling out(not much) the center bolt holes in the intake, and using washers on the bolts

What does the engine have for induction now? If you go from carb to TPI, be forewarned that you may lose power; especially from 4000 rpm to redline. The other aspects of EFI make it a worthwhile swap, but you may want to consider a different style intake than TPI, something affordable like an HSR or converted LT1 intake. This depends heavily on your current combonation of course. Just want you to be aware of other options.
