Well, here's the difference. The wiring harness in the cabin is all the same. I wired up the relays and it all worked. Having said that, the harness that is in the cabin plugs into some sort of transfer port where another harness contunues by plugging into the transfer port in the firewall end of the car. What does this mean to you? I kept the stock appearance in the car and on the outside too. How? I went to this harness and found that it lacked a wire to the fog light. I added a wire to the plug and got fog lights that run thru the switch in the cabin.

I added fogs to a friend's 85 Z28, which is pretty similar to the 91. He bought a fog light harness through the dealer. I think it was for a 2002 Chevy Astro, but I forget. Since he wanted the lights to operate just like the stock ones (on with low beams and parking lamps only), I used a couple bosch relays to wire it up. I wrote a tech article for it:

You should find it helpful if you're going to wire it up yourself.

You can swap the grill out for the z28 bowtie. I did it on mine looks great. I bough the foglight but never stuck them in. When I finaly do it im going to get the swich and wiring harness from a junk yard.

Go to my picture page ad take a peek:

I added them to my 1991 RS, I used the factory switch, relay, dash switch plate, and Z28 grille.
Due to the cost of factory fogs I used aftermarket ones, you cant even tell the difference in the picture. I also made custom brackets too.
Alltogether I had under $100 wrapped up in the project.

I put a set in my '91, but the lights themselves arent' factory lights. They look like them though. I got the lights off ebay (search "GM fog lights") and did use a set of factory brackets. I had to mod the mounts a bit though. I wired them up using a Bosch relay and this diagram:

I used the factory switch and trim plate. Not hard to do. I would have used parts of the factory harness had I known about it then.
Also, my total price was less than $100.
