what happen to this site for thirdgens?

everyone just pack up and leave or did the decision to condense everything into one section for thirdgens cause everyone to run? There are still people out there building thirdgens right?

I've been off this site for a few years and mainly stick to thirdgen.org. Just recently came back tho just to see what was happening and hoping to sell some parts

You've been around a long time... You should know this place was never big on the thirdgens. It's always primarily been LT1 based.

Lots of people are still building these cars, they just don't post here, or most places on the internet for that matter.

I'm currently in the middle of a turbo 5.3 swap for my 85

I am still doing my swap. Turbo Vortec 4200 inline 6... I will transfer my motownmuscle build thread to here when I think its substantial I guess. Its almost ready for wiring I just need to figure out which ECU I want/need for boost.

In process of redoing my twin turbo setup...havent posted on here about my builds, just TGO for now. I was here alot in 07-08 when I was planning an LT1 built but kept my L98 based setup but still considered LT1 style intake, either converted or the miniram. Never went that way, got a stealth ram and it worked great. I dont think I posted about it here but its been awhile

Re: what happen to this site for thirdgens?

Hello there!
I'm still around, but don't check the boards as often as I used to. My Trans Am is still in the garage, on stands, tools laying on the ground underneath it from 2010. I got busy with other things in life. I have an unspecified clutch problem, last I recall...

Re: what happen to this site for thirdgens?

I pop in every few months. I'm still saving money to paint the car and redo my upholstery. Engine and trans were replaced with new as seen in my signature.

I also need to install my bigger injectors then reprogram my computer to acknowledge them. And I need to install new calipers up front. I still have a few things to do.

I started buying guns and that has taken a lot of money away from the Camaro.

EDIT: I forgot to mention I drive it every week. I sounded like it was dead in the water. It drives great but I'd like to update the calipers.

Re: what happen to this site for thirdgens?

Sorry to steal the thread but you guys seem to know your poop about 3rd Gens and I am looking for some direction. 1987 iroc z28, 350 with T tops, auto with 63k on car. I was wondering if you could tell me who to speak with about restoring her back to showroom. Field mice ate all wiring harnesses but none of the interior.... weird! She has been sitting for last 4 yrs only 5 small surface rust spots found. Thanks for helping if you can...

Re: what happen to this site for thirdgens?

Interior parts are probably the hardest to find & restore. As for the harness, I am sure that you can find a used one pretty easily from Hawks third-gen or other similar specialty used parts supplier. Get familiar with the factory wiring diagram for your car. However I;m not going to go into it anymore within this particular thread. Start a different one within the tech sub-forum.

That's the ultimate bolt-on speed part, I must say. More like clip-on. All you got to do is clip it onto your key ring. I like that kind of performance upgrade.

Thrashing to get done before power tour kicks off in Milford... Lots to do, more than I could list. haha

You ready Dan? Doing the Milford-Muskegon run? I might try it in whatever vehicle runs that day.
