Judging by your mods, something nasty-in the neighborhood of 5xx lift and 23x duration. Depends if you want top end, low end, or mid range power though. A very high lift cam will not like lugging around under 2000 rpms and unless your car is >4000lbs it'll be ok. Assuming you have a 3rd gen you'll be ok. Comp 306 cam, GM 846/847 cam, Comp 468 XFI cam are all higher lift cams. Also they are not emissions legal if you have tests in your state. You seem to have an engine around 430 hp at the flywheel and you'll need a beefy cam to support those heads.

Well... I don't have a 3rd gen. The engine will be going into a 1972 Nova SS. The car weighs 3440 lbs with a full take of gas. The car won't be lugging around at 2000. At 55 mph I am turning 3050 rpms. Also with the year of my car I have no emmissions to worry about. With the 4.10 gears and the manual trans I don't really need a ton of bottom end. Some would be nice but for what I pan on doing with the car it isn't a have to have thing. Pretty much a 40/60 street strip car. I was looking at the 847 cam, but was looking for something with a little tighter LSA. It has a 112 and I would like to have something like a 110 or 109.

Comp Cams #249-12-769-8
Comp Cams #249-12-771-8
Comp Cams #249-12-772-8

Depending on your needs one of these should be right.

Thanks but I was hoping to stay with hydraulic lift cam if at all possible.
