TC Stall Question

will a 2800 or 3000 stall increase the life and durability of my 700r4 or will it decrease it...i heard if you go too big you'll rip your tranny to shreads, but if you stay under 3000, it will actually increase the life of your tranny...can somebody clarify this please...

Re: TC Stall Question

A higher than stock stall slips more which builds heat in the tranny oil. An aftermarket tranny cooler needs to be used to keep the tranny temp lower. Heat kills a tranny more than anything else.

A higher stall converter allows the engine to rev up faster to the stall speed. The increased rpm at low speeds burns more fuel.

Re: TC Stall Question

i dont' want somethiing too dramatical, but I hear that these make your car considerably quicker...how about just something little like this? http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...46&prmenbr=361 it says it only stalls 300 to 400 more over stock and hardly affects gas mileage...would something liek this be good or should i invest my money elsewhere..
