TBI Cold Air Intake

I bought the kit off of ebay and its pretty tight. It took no time to install and everything fit perfectly even though it is made for a truck. I have some pics if you want them

i agree with robvas man, your cone filter is right above the header/manifold area. there is a lot of radiant heat in that part of the engine. maybe try to custom fab an extension down towards the fender well and pull some air from beneath the car or maybe move it back towards the brake booster/strut mount area if it will fit.....air will still be warm there but not so much as right above your exhaust....it does look good though, nice and shiny

I am getting the TPI air intake and I am going to hook them together. I just have to get one of ebay first!

that looks cool, whered you order it from, do u feel a gaine in horsepower? i put an edelbrock air cleaner on mine and its got some jump to it, how much did you pay for it? you should probably try rerouting it somewhere else though because youll get alot of heat from the header...try routing it down underneath the car with en extenion pipe or something looks cool though and it would be really fuctional.

Should have just gotten an open element. There is nothing cold about that filter, its actually taking in warmer air then the stock one (not that the open element doesn't but its cheaper and looks better).

Actually it extends past the part where the header is and I think the air is somewhat colder there. It is also right next to the alternator which seems to fan it some. I am waiting to get the TPI air intake and then I am going to hook the 2 together.
