Sold my 92, Bought a 88 Vette.

For you who might remember me I was a proud owner of a Heritage 1992 Z-28, and I still love the car. I bought a Vette last year, and failed to say my "goodbye" to this site! Well not totally since the Vette I bought has the L-98 in it! My buddies wanted me to buy an LT-1, but I was addicted to the low end grunt of the "Torque Monster". Anyways Just wanted to Say Hi again I guess to the guys who helped me along with my 1992.

Those numbers were on the G-Tech incase you guys were wondering. I best times at the track before I sold it were 13.81@99.79 MPH! Which wasn't bad for a car that had 3.73's, Nitto's, and exhaust done to it!

Well I just ordered Hooker #2149 for the Vette, and some Nitto's! So I will see what she runs! If I recall my 92 ran a best of 14.7@94.5MPH is stock trim which I thought was real good.

Just to let u know, The reason I sold the Camaro is because I wanted a car that handled better! As far as performance goes when my Camaro was stock compared to my 88 Z-51 4+3 Vette. They feel similar, Although the Vette does have more pull being lighter and all.

But I do miss my 92, It was a rare car!!!!!!!!!

Are you sure the Vette is lighter?

Oh Yeah! The Vette is lighter and much more nimble around the corners! If my memory serves me correct. The Vette weighs around 3275lbs, and my Camaro was pushing 3500lbs. Not to mention my Vette is a 4+3, and you can really keep the RPM's up when shifting! That's the only thing I did not like about my Camaro was the 1st to 2nd gear change in the 700R4 was much to steep! Would rather have the tranny in my Father's 87 GN. Believe his first gear is 2.74-1 instead of 3.06-1. Don't get me wrong. For stop light to stop light, That Camaro was a monster, but 2nd and 3rd gear needed help.

Well, you can't really fault a guy for going from a Camaro to a Corvette, but it sure is a shame the Z28 had to go. I believe I recall seeing pictures of yours, really sweet looking of course as the 91-92s are just gorgeous...

Good luck with the vette, a nice C4 with a set of ZR1 rims or similar is a mean looking car as well.

Thanks Ray! I remember your I.D. Yes my car was clean, clean, Sold it with 75000 k's or 47000 miles on her. It was Red with the Black Heritage stripes on it! If I dig up a pic I will post it for u. Not sure if the site is around, but lugnutz.com had a few pics of it on there.

Anyways yes I really love the Vette. It has 60000 miles on it, and has the rare Z-51 suspension, even have the Z-51 floormats to match, And had it at the track 3 weeks ago and ran a 14.498MPH, but had crappy 60 foot times, So I know a 14.1is in there somewhere, because the MPH supports that E.T.

But yes I do miss the Camaro....I know the owner, So one day I just might buy it back.
