I posted this in the Drivetrain section and not a reply so I'll giver here too then:

I drove te car on sat. and it ran fine. Came home, parked it and then on the following Weds. I start it up ready to go and I put it in gear and nothing, like its still in park. Nothing, no lower gears either and no reverse. Starts in neutral still and the linkage and cable still move with each gear and there is no fluid leakage and the fluid level is good and recently flushed about a month to month and half ago. When in gear, it just revs as if in park.

HELP, is my tranny blown, blown pump??

Does the arm on the trans move when you change gears? I know you said it shifts ,but just checking. If so then I would say either the pump(or related)in the trans is bad or could be the flex plate came loose ,I've seen this happen a couple of times useualy you'll hear a ting,ting kinda sound for a little while first.

maybe your shifter cable is broke, just a thought, id check that before anything, you could be shifting but still in park actually cause your cables broke

Jack the car up and check the position of the shifter linkage when someone shifts the car.

The shifter moves and when it moves, the linkage moves too, also, when in neutral postion, the car can roll too, in park postion it won't. I thhought maybe the cable is broke but I had the tranny guy at work come look at it and he thinks that since everything does what it should (shifter and linkage all moving) that the pump is blown.
anyone else??

I belive there is a c-clip on a valve that can do that if it comes off, but, just take it to a trans man you trust not to screw you
