And I get to fix it up for her! Yay me!

Seriously, it's going to be fun. I get to work on a classic Camaro and use someone else's $$$.

Here are some pics:

She paid $1300 delivered to my door, so I think she got a good deal. I had a look underneath it last night and everything seems pretty solid. It will need some repairs in the spare tire well, but someone has spent a bit of time and money under there. New floor pan in the drivers side, some new fuel lines, some new brake lines, brand new high-flow cat. It has been sitting for a while.

It starts, but runs like crap, mostly because of this I think:

Also the plugs are VERY fouled. I am replacing the plugs, cap and rotor, de-gunking that carb, putting all the vacuum lines back where they should be, and we will see if that helps out with the idle at all. It has a misfire and I need to hold it at about 2500 rpm to keep it running right now. Fuel filter will be done too I guess.

Should be a fun project, wish me luck!

I am sure I will be back more and more as we dig into this thing.

That stock LG4 is never going to set the world on fire. Doing a good tune up and cleaning the carb will make it run much better however. Conventional wisdom is that the stock Quadrajet carb is as good or better than most aftermarket carbs for the 305 so I wouldn't look to replace it. Looks like the body is in decent shape so that is one less thing to worry about. I'd replace those '80s era wheels for sure! 16" IROCs or even the stock 15" Z28 wheels would be a vast improvement IMO. Good luck with it!
