Loss of power :(

My overheating problem seems to be in check, although it runs a little hot.

Anywhoooo................... I'm losing power after driving for a couple minutes. The car is considerably slower after a couple minutes. Any ideas?

Check your CTS and your TPS. those both can cause that. happened to me. MAF will also do it.

i should mention this problem came about after i was putting the pedal to the metal and i heard a loud pop sound then a major power loss. it was normal after restarting the car.

now whenever i drive after about 4-5 minutes i lose power.

Restricted catalytic converter. They tend to get worse as they warm up.

ive felt like my cat's been restricted for a while now, good call.

when i first start the car, it hesitates like its gonna shut off first few times i press on the acceleration....... would that be another symptom?

That makes me kinda think TPS. Mine did that to an extent before I replaced that. when the TPS goes bad it's not telling the computer to add fuel quickly enough
