engine work
I'ma new member and i will be getting a 1984 camaro Z28 no tranny possibly no engine, for free.
Will this 350 H.O. fit in a 1984 Camaro Z28(gm performance parts) part # nal-12486041
or how about this a 350 long block part # nal-10067353 ??????????
If not what would be the best engine to subsitute in there for under $2,500?
Also what are some good mods on a 305 5.0 not the H.O.? cause i can get one practically free if there aren't any engines out there that will fit with no trouble.
Also since i haven't gotten the body yet so what size are the headlight bulbs? e.g. (9004).
Anybody know where to get a 700r4 trans real cheap? thanks in advance. I seen thmonster.com, they have the performance one for 998 plus core charge of $150

The 350 will drop right in just like the 305, they are both small blocks. If you can get the 350, dont even bother with the 305.
Dont know about the headlights. And are you looking to buy a new tranny, looking for one already rebuilt, a sheel to be rebuilt, a used one that runs?

As everyone else said, any SBC will fit.
As for buying a tranny:

As far as I know, the only difference in the 305 and 305 H.O. is the dual snorkle air cleaner. I may be wrong though...
