how much is a 92 heritage camaro worth?
Just picked up a 92 rs Camaro 25th anniversary heritage car. auto. 190,000 miles. rebuilt trans, lot of new stuff. 90%everything works. 8 out of 10 interior. descent tires. about to have new paint which is going back to original white with red stripes. stock 305 tbi. flowmaster ex. tuned up and ready to ride. no rust. Value? what should I sell it for. I have my number and I think its reasonable just wanting to see what others thought.

Man u being in Wisconsin, all of them are rusted up. I get you though 1000$ norm. for me too but lately its been hard to steel up a third gen. I can steel up lt1 cars 2500 or less all day thinking a 3rd gen would be a lot less. But lately here in the Carolinas, people want gold for them.

I don't think the Heritage Special will add any value. However a good, clean, rust-free third gen should be worth something. My periodic ebay checks seem to point to prices in the $2000 to $5000 range. Yours will likely fetch better prices if the paint you apply is done really well, and that you ensure the undercarriage is cleaned of dirt, and the engine compartment looks as good as the exterior and interior. That being said, are you going to be able to turn a profit after you finish painting it? Last I checked, materials alone will cost you about $700, and if you have a body shop help you with a spray booth, you'll end up spending a minimum of $2500 for a paint job. (My repaint cost $5000, and the paint alone was $1340 at jobber prices). A backyard spray isn't going to fetch you top prices when you re-sell.

yeah I searched high and low for prices on ebay and craiglist. and its honest to say people want gold for a 92 anniver. car even one with a 3.1 crazy. ill post a picture of it when done.

Just remember that asking price isn't necessarily selling price. A car with nearly 200,000 miles on it likely will not fetch anything similar to a 60,000 mile vehicle that has lived life in a covered garage and been stored during the winters. Add surface rust to the underhood components, have worn carpeting and a stained & pitted steering wheel, and it becomes significantly less collectible and more ordinary.
Yes, please do post a photo when you are done! A before/after comparison might be nice too!

That looks like a nice car with a lot of potential. Are you going to see if you can find a replacement driver's seat ? I'm sure that you are going to properly fix that exhaust, too... A cat-back exhaust system and a new replacement catylitic converter will probably improve the saleability; Especially if you are going to market it as a survivor. I'd sort of like to find one like that for my daughter. She's going to need a car for high school pretty soon.
