Question Swaping a 92 RS's 305 V8 for a 95 3.4l V6

I owned a beautiful 1995 Camaro that I loved to drive. After a bad relationship I was left with no money, and a broken spindle making it impossible to steer. I had to manage fixing it and the turmoil created by my father seeing his son fix things he knew nothing about. I fixed the car, but I left a tie-rod bent by about 5 degrees. Not enough to wreck the car doing 45 or 50, but doing 80 down the side of a mountain can create enough force to make that 4-5 degree bend a serious problem. A problem that resulted in me losing my car to a cliff wall.

To get to the point, I was left with a broken heap of junk in my garage for a while, until I found a teal 1992 RS with 180k miles. I drove it for 5 months, and in that span of time I was hit twice by other cars who would say that it was my fault, even though they hit me. I took a trip to Indiana, I live in Louisville, to see a 95 that wouldn't start. On the way back, my car died and wouldn't start for the third time.

Now before I bore you to death with forgotten history of things that no one cares about I'll tell you what I want to do. I still have my wrecked 95 in my garage, engine is still in perfect shape with 80k miles. It always ran fine, I never had any problems with it. My 92 is sitting in my driveway waiting for some miracle to come along and put it out of it's 180k+ mile misery.

My idea is this, I want to ask you all if it's possible within a reasonable amount of time, I want to swap out the 92's 305 V8 with the 3.4l V6 sitting in my 95. Aside from modifying the engine mounts and removing the engines and transmissions from both cars, what else would I have to do to get my Camaro up and running again?

If you convert the mounts, exhaust, linkage fuel systems, ect. The computer and wiring are probably going to be a nightmare to make it all work. I think that would be the biggest obsticle.

I was considering rebuilding the 305 and buying a 89 firebird to put it in. I might just sell the V6

Or you can probably get a nice 350 core for cheap, and do a inexpensive build on it. Then down the road, you would have the potential to at least make a 383 or 396 out of it. If you found a good enough 350 core, you could probably hone it and put rings and bearings for cheap, and drive it for a while. Heck I have a couple 350 cores kicking around here. I wouldn't waste your time with a 305.

You asked so; I would sell both cars or part them out and take the money and get a nice third or forth gen. And start all over. You might consider taking a couple of bucks and going to driving school.
