heres the story i fill the tank up completely with 93 octane and i throw in a bottle of chevron (w/ techron) fuel/carb cleaner in yesterday (when it was running great). today i go to drive my car and its running like crap... rough idle, low idle, wants to stall, terrible acceleration no power, check engine light comes on for a little while then goes off the choke light goes on and off sometimes too

i run the code and i get 21 which is:
High voltage at throttle positon sensor


so what you guys think

i have a 4bbl quadrajet in a 83 z28

Take it out on the free way and run it,see if it clears up. Might be some gunk in there from the fuel treatment.

yea i know i thoguht about that, it runs rough tho and it makes me nervous to push it too hard

ok i checked my TPS and i get 2.81 at closed throttle and 4.6 at wot so it makes sense that the comp is saying high voltage at tps
the throttle blade also seems like its not even touching the little stop screw on the drivers side of the carb, maybe becasue its on the fast idle cam?
but now i got other big problems and things got worse

i replaced the fuel filter and that diddnt help at all when i took the fuel line back off to see if it was still dry, fuel came out all over the engine so i guess im getting some fuel.



im stalling out imediatly after startup and the smoke comes out of the carb im getting nervous please help me

on a side note could the PCV system have anything to do with it?

now it doesnt really start at all, it cranks and seems like its about to start but never gets going faster after i release the starter
