Fan question

I am new at this, I am trying to put my 1987 iroc 305tpi back to almost as original condition as possible. The person I bought it from installed a aftermarket single fan, temperature gage & radiator. In doing so he also wired where nothing worked. Needless to say he also ripped out everything that was original from the factory. I just bought a single factory fan & radiator from a person parting out the same car as mine thinking the car had that set up originally, As I was installing the fan that is when I noticed that my car was supposed to be a dual fan set up, so I went to the salvage yard & bought the lower single fan bracket & all I could find was a harness for a dual set up. My question is this can I run the single fan off of the dual fan harness?

Fan question

IIRC, on your 87, one fan was off of a relay by the booster that was controlled by the coolant temp sensor, and the secondary fan was controlled by the relay just next to it (I believe there are 3 identical relays in that location) by the A/C switch. You shouldn't have any trouble powering both fans simultaneously from the same source relay though
