how do i get the codes for my check engine light on a 1991 camaro z28 350? where do i do it at?

Find the diagnostic connector down around where your knees would be on the driver side.

Bend a paper clip into a U shape and stick it into the far right 2 holes on the TOP row of the connector with the key already in the RUN position but the motor NOT running.

The SES light will flash code 12 three times and then flash the trouble code three times.

Heres an example of what it would look like, with the X's being flashes:

Code 12 - X XX X XX X XX
Code 34 would be XXX XXXX XXX XXXX XXX XXXX

Just count the flashes and right down the number and report back.
