89 Formula 350 code 34
This summer has totally sucked for all of my cars. Nothing but problems. My 89 Formula 350 with 72,500 miles started acting really strange again today. The car started to stumble alot around 1000 rpm and would even die out. After a while my service engine soon light came on so I took it home and scanned it and got a code 34. I know this is mass air flor sensor circuit but what should I be checking for. About 11 years ago I had to buy one for my iroc-z and it was around $240. I called advance auto parts and they said the part is no longer available. Is there a relay for this circuit? If so where is it located?

Do you have a Bosch or Delco MAF? A dirty maf, TB or IAC will also set that code. It could be a ecm or wiring issue also.
edit: what color is the car, I really like third gen Formulas.

I did pull it out of the car and it was a bosch ( made in germany ). I looked at both screens and they were clean and the wire inside was not broken. It was still connected at all 4 points.

After waiting for 10 days I finally got my new MAF sensor from Autozone. All other part stores were about a 3 week wait. I put it in and all of the problems went away with no check engine light. It was a reman. but came with a 1 year warranty for $150. Autozone was the cheapest around.

Thats a good deal. If you ever need an adjustable one for any reason they make 'em. Expensive but here you go.
Supposedly they have better electronics for quicker changes. I'll give it a try if I ever have to replace mine.
