84 z28 H.O. Overheating

I replaced thermostat, made sure there was a flow through radiator, and replaced radiator hoses. Any suggestions on why it could still be overheating. I used a 190 thermo but was told i should get a 160. Its all original and I wanna keep it that way.

Is the gage reading right? How "hot to the touch" is it while it's running?

Yea, i beleive it to. Top radiator hose is not burning hot but i cant hold onto it when its hot. I also ordered like a 178 on 168 off fan switch and 160 thermo. The air dam is in place with maybe a little peices missing from the edge. Might have had a part of the bottom broken off but im not sure. As of now i have no thermo and fan running all the time basicaly cus i just took of the ac switch so just my fan turns on and its running about 190
