305 TBI to 350 Carb swap help
I have a 92 RS TBI 305 and about done building a 350 I got before winter. I was told there are a lot of things I have to change to make this swap work like take fuel pump out of tank, take out ecu, new distributor with vacuum advance, and a couple other things. any other things I need to change around? I know theres always going to be something but I don't know everything I got to do to make the swap work.

No need to mess with the fuel pump. All you'll need is an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator to drop the pressure down to the carb's requirement.
- Accessories should swap over.
- Exhaust should work as long as the oil dipstick is on the correct side.
- You'll need a new throttle cable.
- Also going to need a bracket for the TV cable if you've got an auto trans. And if auto, you'll need a wiring kit to maintain TC lockup.
- The stock distributor is ECM controlled. You will need an older style HEI.
Those are the major things. You may find a few other things like vacuum connections, air cleaner options, and fuel line connections that will need to be worked out.

Re: 305 TBI to 350 Carb swap help
Like Mark said but with a few exceptions.
Dont worry about which side the oil dipstick is on with the 350. It is best for it to be on the passenger side, but if it is on the driver's there is a way to make it work. So dont worry about that.
I dont think you need to change the throttle cable. It should work just fine. Mine is.
You can wire your own lockup for less money then a kit. http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/ca...c-control.html
Also make sure you get a geometry corrector for your carb so that the TV cable is attached correctly.
