Suspension Setup for light Canyon Drives

So I would like to do Sways and mabye spring. I am looking for suggestions on what people would recommend. I am not looking to lower the car to much, just clean up a little bit of the gap and get real performance from a spring. Also for now I am going to stick to the factory tires, dont have money to replace them and since they are new it will be a few miles before I go down that road.

some options for springs: Pedders,Eibach,Pfadt,Hotchkis,BMR. they all sell lowering springs by themselves.
for sway bars, you pretty much have the same companies. however i do like the idea of Hotchkis selling a track pack setup. you get all 4 springs, sway bars and subframe connectors all for around 1,000. http://www.autopartsdealer.com/hotch..._content=rank1

heres some BMR options with some bushings. http://www.bmrsuspension.com/index.c...=102&catid=304 i would recommend doing your subframe bushings also. that will help tighten it up in corners too.

Re: Suspension Setup for light Canyon Drives

On the springs, I have run eibach before, any thoughts on those. Good brand for the Camaro?

That hotchkis setup looks pretty complete. DO most people install this themselfs, or take it to a shop. I dont mind spending half a day doing the install, but are there any crazy special tools required.

Thanks

Re: Suspension Setup for light Canyon Drives

pedders and pfadt will be on the $ end of the set up, and eibach, bmr and hotchkis will be on the lower end of the setup. hotchkis is nice because you can buy it as a complete setup in 1 package.
eaibach retail for the springs and sways is 622.
BMR retail for springs and sways is 539
hotchkis retial for springs and sways retial is 915 and the package with the subframe connectors retails for 1547, but as i showed you, if you shop around, youll find these packages way cheaper.

i would install it myself if i were just doing springs and sways. i howver had my stuff installed by backstreet performance in medina, OH because Pedders warranties it longer if installed by a pedders dealer.

Re: Suspension Setup for light Canyon Drives

Do the Sway-bars first, Pedders, Pfadt or Hotchkis.
After you've drove it awhile with new Sways then do the bushings. When you finally save up enough, do struts/shocks/spring at the same time. IMO, do it right and get the Pedders or pfadt w/adjustable ride height so you can dial-in the ride height exactly where you want it. If you just want regular lowering springs then also look at H&R(#50778), and Vogtland(959226) . IMO,I'd put Eibach spring at the very bottom of your list.
