Retro 3" Chambered Exhaust for v8 Released

NEW RELEASE

We have released our Retro 3" chambered round exhaust system for the v8. We released our v6 retro system a little over a month ago and liked the sound so much, we designed one for the v8.

Part # is CA11CB and Retail is $1190. It connects to the factory connection point and is a complete bolt on.

Here are some pictures of what it looks like on the car. We will have a short video clip of what it sounds like within the next week.

$1190 for exhaust piping? Sorry, this is over-the-top nuts.

But the same pipe you can grab at Home Depot and bend on your workbench at home and have it look, last, fit, perform, and sound just as good?

Just playing Devil's advocate...there's also engineering, R&D, machinery, marketing...

Don't get me wrong Jason, the system looks great -- and I bet it sounds great too. But that price is almost 4% of the price of an SS. It just seemed shockingly high to me. That's all.

Over the top nuts? No - Top of the line quality? Yes

Next time your in the N.E Ohio area, I would be more than happy to show you what goes into building "exhaust piping."

Jason - Couldnt of said it better.

I would really like that! Of course, I have no idea what goes into your system. You might just educate me. [/understatement]

Good luck with this this. It *does* look like a high quality product. I am looking forward to your sound clip BTW, my post was on the rude side -- your reply is anything but...

Oh sure, I get that. I am a guy who paid as much as that entire exhaust system for a Forgeline wheel on my car...not counting the other three.

No one said going fast was cheap...especially not with the 2010 Camaro. It is still the hottest thing on the market right now, even after a year.

I try to think in terms of value and not price, and it helps ease the pain in my wallet.

Re: Retro 3" Chambered Exhaust for v8 Released

Not to ressurect a dead thread, but, is anyone out there running this set up? I'd love some insight as I keep deliberating between this kit and the Borla S Type.

There doesn't seem to be many people running this kit or posting videos.

Re: Retro 3" Chambered Exhaust for v8 Released

it doesnt seem like theres that much "chambering" compared to what ive seen before. That being said, it doesnt seem that loud. Im sure the video could be deceiving though. I loved the GMPP chambered exhaust they had for the 4th gen, but it was also a crazy way high price. I was always gonna buy a couple of sections of "chambered piping" like these and do it myself, but i never did get a v8 car.
