Cruise control failed

Cruise control failed
I have '13 1LE with 6 spd manual. I had a local retail shop install a viper remote start, which works great, but cruise control failed. When main switch is on, the dash light comes on but will not hold speed. Can anybody help? Thanks in advance if you can.
