Nice. I wonder if it will be limited edition or how they will do it. Chances are it will start at $40K+ This will be like a poor mans CST-V coupe.
Official 0-60 mph time for the 2nd-generation CTS-V is 3.9 seconds, while the quarter mile is run at 12.0 seconds at 118 mph
So we can probably expect high 11's from the slightly lighter Camaro.

According to Ed Welburn, GM's Vice President for global design, the on-again, off-again Z/28 is back in the plan. The modified body is done, according to Welburn. There is still calibration work to be done on the powertrain, though. We're still looking at about a year's wait before the Z/28 would appear.
Alongside this news, we hear that GM is considering doing a higher-performance version of the V6 Camaro, in hopes of piquing the interest of less traditional Camaro enthusiasts. --Dan Pund, Senior Editor, Detroit

Interesting. They are not going to let that 2011 Mustang one up them. Do we know of anything new in the works? 3.8L 4.0L V6? at one time there was a rumor of Caddy getting a larger than 3.6L V6.

I'm kinda in Charlie's camp as far as the 5th gen Z/28 thing goes, but I'm very curious to see what the final specs & numbers will be on this car. I'm glad its getting green lighted.

And a performance option on the V6 sounds interesting too. Honestly, if I were in the market for a brand new car today, I'd probably go with a manual V6 RS.
