Very interesting Asian influence in the new pony cars. The Mustang was designed by a guy originally from Vietnam and the Camaro by a Korean. Not that it matters, its just interesting.

I'm another one who wasn't as put off by the Aztecs, as most were. I do recall looking them over at the dealer when they came out, thinking exactly what your saying about comfort & funtionality. Inside they look real nice IMO, with lots of usable space.

Hrm...members of the Corvette team are involved in design, I can only assume that the Camaro will be brought in under the Corvette team...again? How will this help or hurt our beloved when the Vette guys dont want the Camaro to creep on there alimght.

Makes sense....

I figure for the first time the Camaro will have more to do with other 4 seaters more than it has to do with the vette.

Sounds like a good portion of the Camaro design was done by the Corvette team.
You googled him too?

Re: Who did the Camaro Concept design

Hrm...dunno if it not being under Corvette is a good thing or a bad thing.
Good that it wont get neglected, but it will be under a VLE that is in charge of higher volume sedans, working to make every cent count. Could give us a cheaper feeling car, with less then what we desire in a sports car.....
I dunno, I didnt sleep at all, Im rambling.

It's interesting how artists interpret the intrinsic design qualities that transcend the past... shapes that evolve into modern artforms with traces of bygone influences.

In other words, you don't need to be American to see the tangible bits that make up a modern day Camaro.

I actually don't mind the Aztek, either. I actually really liked the original concept car version. The production version suffered IMO from having to ride on the minivan mechanicals which changed a lot of the proportions. Seems like most people who own them love them and I think they'll be a cult car in the future.
