what if a merger happens?

if GM and DODGE merge, what would happen to the camaro? if the production of the trucks was stopped, how many camaros were/have been built? Could you even imagine if there were only a VERY limited amount of these cars made, such as a thousand, or even 500? it would become an even moreso desirable car and i'm sure the common camaro enthusiast wouldn't be able to afford what GM would choose to charge for a instant collectable. Or is the media just over-reacting about Chevy's future?

I'm no economist, so i want to hear from someone who may know where this may end up to clarify it for me

Nothing will happen to Camaro. Merger or not.

Also, in case you haven't watched the news the past week and especially today, the merger idea died when GM couldn't get the feds to give them money to cover it.

It's a dead issue.

Hyundai, Chrysler in talks as GM pulls out-sources

Cerberus also plans to restart talks other potential partners, including Renault (other-otc: RNSDY.PK - news - people )-Nissan (nasdaq: NSANY - news - people ), the sources added. (Reporting by Jui Chakravorty and Kevin Krolicki; Editing by Andre Grenon; +1-646-223-6033)

That will never work, Hyundai is trying to become a huge car manufacturer overnight, it is bound to fail if they did something like this.

It just really blows
Rick Wagoner said that they had money till the end of 2009 a few months back.
Now we find that they have money till Jan 2009.
GM needs $11 -$14 Billion just to operate without going BK7
As I see it GM only has enough money till early Feb.
Ford is going to come out looking pretty in 2 years and hyundai buying chrysler might do ok also.
But where does it leave GM?Nobody wants to buy them
I cannot blame them still the most cars they make are bland
except the Tahoe,Blazer,Vette and maybe the camaro
