What happened at Oshawa?

* they built 150 cars in a single shift on Monday the 16th
* they are planning on running at full speed within 3 weeks of the 16th.
* full speed is approximately 450 cars per shift.
* there are 14,000 preorders, plus ~3500 Chevy dealers that need a sample car.
* Short throw shifters, cyber gray metallic, and any other delayed options will be delayed one month (production begins April 16th)
I am assuming three additional things:
* All of the above are true
* Things will go according to plan
* They work five days per week, one shift per day
* They will continue to build 150 cars per shift until they switch to full speed
* Preorders waiting on delayed options are the minority.
If my assumptions are correct, they should be all caught up no later than Thursday, May 21st. How awesome would that be?

Having said that, I still wouldn't go preregistering for any car shows or anything like that just yet. GM people have been saying that people who didn't preorder shouldn't expect to be able to get a car until September. I think that was a worst-case estimate, though.

Im not sure on the number of cars built on March 16th but i can tell you that the first production model 2010 SS was built and sold to Mr. Hendrix himself. Camaro5, TFBM, CCFBG, and OCC were all invited to the unveiling of car number #00001 off the production line. We got to sit and turn on and listen to a red SS, a silver RS, and a orange/white stripe SS. All the clubs and press got to see the cars an talk to some of the big honcho's behind the new Camaro. It was a great day and we got to see alot of the new color/stripe combinations along with having that #00001 being unveiled to us by Mr. Hendrix. Thats all i can tell you from what i personally know of what happened on March 16th.
Here's some pics from another member from CCFBG i was with on this special day!!!

Nope, just one shift. Days. But again, if they can build ~400+ cars/day (probably upwards of ~500 at full capacity) then there will be ~8 - 10,000 cars built per month!! So, even at ~8k/month, in 2 months' time, they'll have built 16,000 cars!! (hence, ~mid-May ).

Good news
Okay... So all I could get is a possible "code yellow" because the problems seemed to be resolved rather quickly as it seems things are going as planned. But still I got a little worried, cause I was thinking.... 20 camaro's made and 14,000 pre-orders. It would take a longggg time before I got mine
