Leather seats? ambient lighting?


I thought I knew but for some reason I was was thinking the RS package was part of the 2SS and I know its not...

2SS offers: heated leather seats, ambient lighting, bluetooth connectivity, USB port with power outlet in console, Boston Acoustics audio system, wirless PDIM, 4 pack gauages, remote start (with auto transmission). I think that is it for the 2SS. The 1SS offers cloth only seats, non-heated. The BA sound system is available as an a la carte option on the 1SS.

All the bells and whistles. Nothing you really need, just the stuff that you may want.

I meant to ask this question earlier, but never got around to it.

Looking at the chart for the specifications, it looks like the connectivity package isn't even available as an option on the 1SS, while it is on the 1LT. Does anyone know if this is accurate?

My preference would be a 1SS, but I want the bluetooth and USB connectivity. I've got an aftermarket stereo in my current car that gives me both. I use the USB connection nearly every time I drive, using my mp3 player in favor of radio or CD most of the time. I use the bluetooth for hands free phone when I have to be on long conference calls for work. So this is a bit disturbing (not a deal breaker by any means) that I either have to move up to the 2SS or drop back to a 1LT with options to get what I want, if that chart is correct.

WTF? I kinda want the bluetooth stuff, but I dont want leather seats? Why doesnt GM just offer an telematics package?

I've been annoyed by the seat thing from the beginning. We're going w/ a 1SS and will live w/out the fluff.

For me, it seems the only thing the 2SS offers is the ambient lighting (which I DO want) and leather seats (which I don't care either way). I getting the 6 speed so auto start won't be there anyway. Couldn't care less for the connectivity stuff. I want a SS with RS, and ambient lighting. So does that mean I HAVE to get the 2SS?

This has probably been answered elsewhere but if you go with the 1SS, what goes in place of the 4 auxiliary gauges? I have yet to see a picture of a camaro without them.

I want the guages and the leather seats (not crazy about ambient lighting) so I'm stuck with ordering the 2SS, even though I'd be happy with the basic stereo system.

I don't quite understand this, either. They do offer this as an option on the 1LT - the "Convenience and Connectivity Package." It adds Bluetooth, PDIM, steering wheel audio controls and USB port.

I'm not sure why they don't offer it on the 1SS as well? I'd guess it must not be cost effective in some way.
