I'd guess it's probably just some kind of multi-connector. Pop of the blockoff trim, plug in the connector, pop the gauges in place.

so buy the gauges from the parts counter and put them in yourself. I'm sure the mounting points will be there and you'll have to pull the harness connector down out of the console. couple of screws, plug in the harness. done.

mowhawk roof is on all NON-sunroofed cars.

the ditch is the "water channel" that runs down the roof on each side parallel with the doors to help keep water rolling off the roof into an open window. they are black on non RS cars. Body colored on RS.

If I can buy this set up for right at $30k I'll be a happy camper

20xx Rally Yellow Camaro RS (auto)

2LT With:

Optional Equipment
- 20-inch polished aluminum wheels
- RS Package

This would be a great daily driver!

2LT + @ 30k ?

If you CAN'T do that, this car is dead IMO. Bottom line, again in my opinion, it will be the 6 cylinder camaros that drive the sales; 300HP being the key to that. I prefer my HP to start with "4" but 300 HP is nothing to dismiss when comparing it to the competition. A 2LT with your options should have an MSRP of around 27,500 to be able to outshine and of course outsell the competition. I've said it before and I'll say it again- This Camaro line has to succeed for Chevy to survive and the only way to do that is to make the price SO AFFORDABLE that once people see it, and what they get for it, they don't even bother to go to the competition to look.

I agree for the most part. But engine aside, what I picked is a fully optioned car with all the goodies. I wouldn't pay over 30K for it, but I feel the upper 20's is reasonable.

Rs?

I know I should know this, but what is the RS package?
Why wouldn't I be able to get that on the base V6?

wait, LT doesnt have a V8? Only SS? I'm confused. I was thinking it would be like:
old V6 = LS
old Z28 = LT
old SS = SS

I was looking to go V8 (comparable to Z28), but not SS. I guess if I want a V8 I have to go SS.

Get an SS w/ the 1SS option group then, it's comparable to the old Z28.

It's a late avaliability option, as it says in the aformentioned trims. When it comes out, however, is yet to be seen. Some say June, more recent accounts say end of the year. I am waiting until I see it in black and white before I plunk money down for HUD.

I think it's funny how "floormats" are an option on a $20k car.

Is there really going to be a Camaro W/T?

"Hehe! You shoulda seen me talk down the sales guy at the dealer on my new Camaro...I didn't think I could afford that there pretty new car, but he deleted the floormat package and the smokers package and it brought my payment down $0.30/month. And, I still got a free hotdog!!! Wooo-wee!!"

I'll take my 3.6/auto with the RS package in a shade of dark gray or blue, please. And the damn thing better have floormats. This isn't a work truck or some stripper economy car.

If your getting the RS package.. that means your getting an 1LT.. and floormats are standard on the 1LT and higher packages.
