100% agree. I WOULD LOVE to order this car radio delete. There is nothing OEM in my GTO with the exception of the head unit.

Oh well, shouldnt be too hard to find someone to swap w/.
Window tint & a sunshade are your friends

Been driving leather trimmed cars in Texas for years and would never consider going back to cloth. But like you said, hopefully it will be an easy swap.

If GM could get a 2LT with RS around 25 - 26K, I'm in, if not, im going to have to consider what packages i could afford. Whats disappointing is that 1LT does not have options for stripes.

Point is, in general, the more that is packaged, the cheaper it is. You may not want leather but the fact that ALL 2SS models will have it probably cut the cost of it considerably. Thank you for reducing the price of my leather seating.

it was a bit of a fight to get cloth available at all on the SS. if you think about the other SSs in the Chevy lineup, they are typically fully contented cars.

its across all manufacturers. more build combos adds significatnly to the cost. most parts are delivered "just in time". they arent stacked in a pile on the assembly line. they only have parts on hand they need based on orders in the system.

I think a few years ago Fbodfather said there were over 200,000 possible option combinations for Silverado alone. Those days are long over.

Now all I need is a price and see it in person then I'll be able to decide if I get a Camaro or Corvette.

Chris,
As long as we're in agreement that this represents a factual list, could you tell us if that means that things such as the leather color will also be limited? Would that mean a standard dark grey or something for all exterior color combinations? Just how restricted are even the options?

I guess at this point, I don't really consider leather to be that much of a luxury option anymore, I mean you can get it on virtually ANY car now. It would seem much more in line w/ buying a new sofa, do you want leather or cloth? I can see paying more for leather sure, but to make it mandatory on 2SS doesn't make any sense to me. Leather was optional on our SS, as it was on the 4th gen Camaro SS. I just think it sux to bundle something like uphostery in w/ these packages. The cloth and leather are both wired for power, so it shouldn't make a difference. As it is, there is no way to get cloth seats w/ the console gauges, crazy!

You're welcome. Tell you what, you get a 1SS, and I'll trade my seats to you, no charge!

Will I be able to do the build my own Camaro thing on the Chevrolet web site after the 13th? Or not until they release pricing?
