News trickles in here and there but typically has always been this dry. As time goes on, it will be more and more frequent.

Keep one thing in mind as we go thru the next few months ---

Did you ever play poker?

If you did, did you show your hand before the appropriate time?

GM does not want to tip their hand to the competition......this is a big poker game -- and someone could, eventually, go out of business-- this business is very competitive.

I personally do not want Ford or Chrysler or Toyota to know much about our products........

Yes - I'd love to share all I know with you -- but if I did, it would only be a matter of time before it was worldwide...........

Not that Toyota really has a pony car competitor in their lineup. Unless.....GM has some spies working at Toyota feeding them info on new models!

The Camaro could share a lot with other upcoming cars that DO compete with Toyota.

That rumor has been around for years. I don't think they're gonna do it. They're gonna leave any sort of sports cars to Lexus and Scion.

Most certainly AGREED!

This time around, Ford isn't taking any prisoners with the Mustang. One need only to look at the 2003 Mustang Cobra's aim at the LS1 F-body and the occasional poke to GM's ribs to see how serious Ford is about the Mustang nowadays. Also, Chrysler seems intent on making the Challenger the drag strip's poster child. Although it's likely to be priced in Z06 and Viper territority, Toyota has a Skyline about to go to the assembly line. Hyundai even has the rear drive sporty coupe market in it's gunsights.

We're about to see probally the best grouping of performance cars in history.

Camaro's coming. It will be RWD. It'll have 3 engines. The 2002 LS1 Camaro was the quickest accelerating, highest top speed production Camaro in history, so no doubt the next one will also likely have that title as well. It'll be out the winter of 2008-2009.

I don't think it's necessary to have blueprints or exact horsepower figures right now...let alone ask what color the air in the tires will be.
