In fact, I'll do you one better. My 1995 Z/28 with t-tops leaks between the window/t-top seal more than either of my 1967 Camaros leak between the window and the rear quarter windows. Every time I wash my Z/28, I need to wipe water off my leather seats.
Yeah the design can improve.. but I doubt theres a fool-proof design out there.
Two moveable pieces meeting at one place.. if there's ANY looseness, or a slight out of adjustment.. it's screwed

Also.. you know what? With all this 5-star crap going around.. Why not make T-Tops completely optional, and not standard? Much like not having T-tops, people will go for the 5-star coupe.. or the slightly less star'd convertible... I don't know if the vert would be able to make it to 5-stars.. but as long as the hard-top does.. you can still say it's a 5-star car, really.

So why not just have hard-top (5-star rating).. and then a vert and t-top versions that aren't necessarily 5-star. It wouldn't make a difference at ALL in advertising.

I kind of already touched on that in a previous post...

The bottom line is, to make t-tops optional would require designing them into the base car which in turn will increase costs.

Which do we see more of on the existing models? TTops.

If convertibles were immensely popular they'd outnumber the TTops.

All of the debate is somewhat pointless, T-tops are simply not in the plans. This is a definite, I am sorry to say.

Sunroofs are absolutely pointless. If they want to include them on the hardtop as a no-cost option to move a few cars, I'll take one. But I wouldn't spend an additional dime on one. The assertion that a sunroof is a comparable option to T-tops is laughable.

I love my t-tops. Upset they're going away without a comparable option like a targa, but hey, what can you do?

Two biggest drawbacks to the convertible -- they're expensive and they're heavy. The 5th Gen vert will at least look pretty good (unlike the 4th Gen...JMO)

I'm undecided about the B-pillar. I'd like to see more renderings of the car with one.
