I don't think there are gonna be many RWD cars sold to people as daily drivers in a town like Chicago. There is a reason the FWD Grand Prix was one of the best selling GM cars in that area. That being said..for every person in Chicago who passes on a Camaro for a daily driver, there are 10 in California, Texas, or Florida. The car is selling insanely well in Texas.

I didnt read all the replies, so maybe this was brought up, but one huge reason you haven't seen any (at least SS's) is because GM felt it wasn't needed to even OFFER an all-season tire on the SS model either standard or optional. They all come only with summer only tires... or at least that was the case a few months ago if something has changed, which I doubt.

Well I think this obviously proves once and for all that the 5th gen is a huge failure for GM.
Come down to Texas. I see at least 2-3 everyday, and no, I don't drive by any Chevy dealers on my daily commute.

With 62K sold so far, that's only 1,200 PER STATE. The chances of seeing one regularly will be pretty low for another year or two. The "new" mustang has been out since 05 and has sold probably 6-800,000 cars in that time?

I agree that I think this is a big mistake on GM's part. I've seen people getting less than 15000 miles out of their ss pirelli tires. GM cant offer a handling package (at least for the moment) but they can have summer only, very short wearing tires?

I wonder what Camaro SS's handling would be like without the benefit of super soft, sticky, summer only tires and with A/S tires instead? Not pretty, I'd imagine.
