DOH! Wonder if GM will sue them over the confidential photos being printed in a magazine!!!

Was that photo on the cover of the print magazine? If so, that's going to look mighty silly on the newsstands in a few days.

If not, well, they've had it on their website for at least a week now; no need to get excited about it at this point.

Re: Saw the Feb issue of Auto Mag on the newstand..

Automobile magazine has been shown to be a joke.

This is the same magazine that just months ago said basically "forget about Camaro, it's dead."

Then they take a stolen GM design studio picture that (unfortunately) has been floating around the internet for several weeks now, put their watermark on it like it's some "big" new scoop, and put it in their magazine less than a week before the finished concept debuts.

I'm not even clicking the link. Their site doesn't deserve the hit.

Re: Saw the Feb issue of Auto Mag on the newstand..

I am sure they are gonna catch some heat over this one. But on the other hand they have had the pics up on their site for probably 2 or 3 weeks, as I put one as my desktop image from them 2 weeks ago. So maybe they have permission to do it. I guess that since it has been posted up here 'someone' from GM will see it and get them shutdown today, then again if they dont go down they are probably legit (which would be very odd)

It's a safe bet that the powers-that-be at GM have known for several days now. Either they can't do anything about it or they have chosen not to.

And in truth, Automobile's job is to report the news, not to serve the manufacturers, and that pic definitely qualifies as news...

Once again, those images are stolen intellectual property. They were never intended to be made into "news", ever.

There is not a bit of difference between them publishing those images and me posting your credit card numbers. Both would have to be stolen to become public. That is exactly what happened.

And yet not a thing will happen to them. NOTHING.
