Rumor of 5th Gen limited wheel width size

This was posted on another board stating that the biggest wheel width possible is 8 1/2. This is not good news if there's any truth to this.

You mean the body would not allow anymore? I wonder why they would even consider building a limit like that.

That is goofy as hell, the Wheels on the concept looked like they were at least 10 inches wide.

Not to mention, they just plain wouldnt do that.

Im calling BS

Hmmmmm if Charlie heard it......

Not a deal killer for me, but seems like GM would have had some forsight that people would want to put wider tires on.

There are currently NO actual Camaros being driven around in Australia. The was confirmed to me within the past 48 hours. So having said that, there is no way someone could say what the tire size is, based solely upon that.

i'm guessing those cars mentioned are just mules for the powertrain, suspension components, etc.. but use VE bodies.. which probably cant have that wide of tires

REALLY?

Thats shocking to me........seems they would have mutiple mules driving around down there......I thought even someone from GM even mentioned that testing was already going on down under.....

Unless......they are testing them somewhere else?

they could be test driving mules without actually driving what would be considered "actual Camaros"

Oh well that’s true.....

Going back to reads Jason’s comment, he did say "actual Camaro’s" so I guess they are using other bodies to test components.

They are quite big. But the concept is on a modified CTS chasis if I am not mistaken. Not the same thing as the Zeta.
