Plus I think My Grandparents are planning on bringing the man that raised me down, to see me.

Just thought I throw in what I heard from the dealer today. Expected date to begin taking orders is March/April 08 with delivery around July. I just placed a deposit to order the 3rd 2009 camaro to be delivered to their dealership. Obviously speculation, but the guy knows corvettes and camaros and has been at the dealership for over 20 years

he is misinformed. as much as we'd all love to have new Camaros for summer 08, it's not in the cards.

I read somwhere that the vert was going to be out later summer/early fall 09 like October. Orders would then start around August which is great for me as that is when I turn the big 40.

I work in the marketing department for a GM dealer in Central Ohio, and we haven't heard a thing about the release date. I'm just taking a shot in the dark, but my personal guess is that we won't know anything until January 2008 at the very earliest. And I can't stand it when I hear about other dealers claiming they know when it's coming because it kinda gives us all a bad rep!

I agree and your probably pretty close with your Jan, 2008 since that would be the earliest time that 2009 models can be ordered.

At this time there is absolutely no official release date. Everything you hear right now is 100% pure speculation.

I don't expect to see anything on the street until probably early 2009 (at the earliest).

I agree with you stars. I'm holding out hope that we'll see it on the showroom very late 2008, but I'd much rather them get the car right than rush it to production. It's tough because I'm really excited to see it in person. Unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to see the concept car up close.
