Quarter mile times!

Wow, I had my doubts we'd get an official 12 sec time from GM. Excellent.
The performance across the board looks great. Assuming the times are little conservative, as manufacturer times usually are, the V6s should make for excellent races against LT1 Fbodies and the 99-04 GTs (we've figured that for some time, but hey now it's official).

That should silence the nah sayers that were saying that the heavy 2010 Camaro wouldn't be able to compete with the 4th gen LS1. I have to admit I was on the nah sayer fense myself. Kudos GM.

Doesn't matter. The car is badass and they are gonna miss out. Their loss.
This should help stir the pot a little.

A straight line yes, but I still think the 4th gen will be faster autoxing, especially in ESP. Fstock will be a little closer but the win will go to the 4th gen.

I expected 12.9 @110 and so the 111mph is nice to see. I think GM tried very hard to pull a 12sec ET from this car and paid a lot more attention to advertised performance numbers than they ever did in the 4th Gens. So I won't quite call these times "conservative" but I do think they will be reachable from a good number of drivers at known good tracks.
Torque Management strikes again on the auto! I'm sure the A6 60ft's better than the M6 and reaches 60mph just as quickly so a computer tune should unleash a few tenths and several mph at the trap.
I still think the M6 wins at the strip and certainly on a roll and for those who opt to change gears the gains could be very nice.

You have a better place for it?

Aren't LS1 SS's and WS6's in A Stock?
#25
Nope they finally put them in Fstock last year. Kind of sucks what has happened to them. First in SS, then BS, then AS, and finally put them where they belong in FS.

I know acceleration is only a small portion of what matters in an autocross... but still...
What class is the GT500 in?
