AFAIK, the graining on the SS on the floor in Detroit was not the final texture. Nonetheless, it allowed folks to get in and experience the feel and ergonomics of the car's interior environment.
FYI I got to sit in the silver car at the Detroit show, and I thought the seats and ergonomics were great. Comfortable places to put your forearms too (very important on long trips). From the Camaro area I went directly to the Challenger and sat in that. Wow...talk about culture shock! The interior comfort level totally sucked compared to the Camaro. I thought I was back in my 71 Challenger at first because it looked cool but was not comfortable at all. Good job....and pass on my compliments to the chefs!

I have to agree. I just got back from the Houston show and sat in the silver LS. Much more comfortable than I thought they'd be. I just wish they would have had something with leather there.
