Possible Turbocharged V6 6th Gen engines?
Found this blog at CamaroNews.com about GM's new Turbocharged V6s:
GM Reveals Twin Turbocharged LGW 3.0L V6 and 3.6L LGX V6 Engines – Possible 6th Gen Engines
The only place in this article and on this page which alludes to the 6th Gen is the title. The article pretty much says this is Cadillac's engine and is intended for their cars.
Still, this is nice to think about. The article says at least one of the engines gets an estimated 400 Hp. Pretty freaking good.
Imagine a V6 Camaro getting at least a 250 lb drop in weight combined with a 320 - 350 HP turbo V6. It should do 0-60 in 5 seconds. That's pretty darn good. Combine that with 28+ MPG fuel rating and you have a recipe for several people opting out of a V8 and still getting respectable performance.
That doesn't bother me one bit. Quite nice actually, in my book.

Re: Possible Turbocharged V6 6th Gen engines?
I don't know why the V6 would only have 320-350hp. The 2012+ 5th gen V6 cars have 323hp NA, and the newest version of that motor (in the CTS) makes even more (335? I don't remember exactly). I would expect a turbo version to be knocking at the 400hp door. Since the LT1 V8 should be around 450, that seems like plenty of room for differentiation.
