Mr. Settlemire,

I can finally forgive you for seat configurations (heighth, tilt) changes you made to my car at G8 when you used it to show proper elbow angle to the steering wheel and seat location. Your sig on my fenderwell came close, but what you (and everybody else involved) has done are nothing short of remarkable!
To Mike and Cindy, see you in about about 3.5 months at G10. BTW I have the 95 orange Z that Cindy awarded class winner to at G8.

Indeed, thank you Scott, for keeping us informed and enlightened as much as possible along the way.
I drove yesterday from Vegas to the LA Auto Show with others from my club, primarally to see the red Camaro there. All I can say is WOW, and THANK YOU!
I can't wait for it to reach production, keep a triple black 'vert reserved for me!

Re: A personal message to you from Scott......

Scott,

Had the idea of a Corner carver 383 6 spd 69 Camaro with IRS from a C4 that would compete with BMW in my head for almost 10 years. I imagined cutting the shark gilles to make them functional and running ducts outside the 69 headlights to cool the front cross drilled Disc. I wanted to see if the Air brought in through the front grill could go over an engine cover and out through cowl over the windshield making it somewhat aero dynamic. All well still maintaining the look.

I finally bought my 69 2 years ago for $8000 but floor and trunk pans are rusted, I dont have the money to fix it up the way it should be as a weekend car but thats where my heart is. The engine is also numbers match so I dont have the heart to pull it for what I want. It will have to go up for sale for money toward a house. Obviously my eyes were bigger than my wallet.

I also own a 98 3800 Mystic green Camaro with T-Tops and American Thunger Dual chrome exhaust. I loved it at first, but couldnt take coworkers out to lunch or put too much in the trunk. Ive bought Rhino ramps as well as steel to work on it from underneath. The 69 has been my favorite for almost 10 years.

It seems your team managed to reverse problems the cars picked up over the years while giving people like me 69 ques. I worked at a drag strip for 3 years, I go to car shows and drove 4 hours in my 98 camaro to the Maryland Ocean City Cruise fest where the place was over run with hot rods in the middle of high winds during hurricane season. The 69 Camaro Z28 Cross ram is far and away my favorite muscle car and if the concept hits show rooms like it is with the 69 ques it will be at the top of my list.

Thank you for building this car...

Scott,

I have not been on this board for very long at all, but long enough to realize that I owe you a hefty amount of sincere thanks for helping bring back what to me is more then a car but a symbol. When I first that the 02 was the last year of the fbody I was honestly crushed, I had hoped to purchase a new 03-04 but with out saying that was not an option. I love my 98 Z28 though and I have not a doubt in my mind that "WHEN" this car is pushed into production it will be nothing sort of amazing and I will be standing in line at my local dealer to order mine.

Re: A personal message to you from Scott......

This is one of the best posts I've ever read here.

The unveiling was a great thing to see. No matter whether you like the concept or not, it's great to have a new car to talk about again. This is thanks to all of us enthusiasts and the guys in GM like S.S. that also believe in this car without question.
