thats the same thing i did to mine. i blacked out the chrome around the bowties also. it looks so much better having the chrome pieces color matched to the car. ill post some pics of my bow ties. it looks like it should have come painted.

Looks great. The bow ties need to be dealt with as do the exhaust tips. They should be anodized black.
