Yes, it was.

I do have to wonder how much time the ZL1 being able to effectively use the curbs was worth, though. Higher midcorner speed is higher speed all the way down the next straight even if the two cars had identical accelerations.

I'm just beginning to catch up on my reading.

Torsen diff is about it and possibly the alignment settings (TBD) - the Boss uses a bit more aggressive camber settings and the caster is changed as well.

Dampers are different and even though the tires are the same size, the Boss gets Pirellis while the GT500 gets the Goodyears (also the TPMS sensors in the GT500 are designed to handle its 200mph capability).

The Boss gets an upgraded 5.0 and relies on the Getrag MT82 M6 while the GT500 gets an enhanced 5.4 and relies on the TR6060 M6.

The enhanced 5.4 features a larger bore with an upgraded rotating assembly and valvetrain. Something odd to me is that the Boss gets CNC'd heads while the GT500 makes due with the same castings its had since 2007 - a moot point I suppose when you've got a supercharger.

Boss like the GT gets 4 pot Brembos while the GT500 gets the new 6 pot Brembos - both retain the floating single piston caliper outback due to as I understand it the C-clip retainer in the axle being incompatible with a fixed caliper assembly. The rear discs at least are larger in diameter in the GT500 for added braking capability with the side benefit of improving areodynamics (as strange as that may seem)

Struts/Shocks are manually adjustable units while the GT500 gets electronically adjustable dampers (only two settings though and it requires flipping a switch).

Boss retains standard 2-piece steel driveshaft while the GT500 gets a carbon fiber 1-piece shaft.

The GT500 gets some durability upgrades to the rear axle as well in addition to the diff cooler (and trans cooler).

Frankly the Boss would benefit more from a technology transfer at this time than the GT500 would from the Boss. The only thing I could see really benefiting the GT500 from the Boss would be heads based on the 5.0's architecture (they outflow the GT500 castings by a small margin) with the addition of TiVCT then again maybe you spell TiVCT on the GT500 2.3 TVS
