Made my decision.....

I have decided to go with a Camaro. I have begun parting out my CSRT and am almost done. Appreciate everyone's positive feedback.

I will say the CSRT is one helluva platform. There are folks who have put 600WHP through a stock longblock. It is a much beefier built drive train than the old NSRT's used and has really surprised a lot of people.

Chrysler did some really annoying things with the PCM on the car however and it is not tuner or mod friendly. Large turn off. There are ways to work around it and Diablo is working on a solution but that is still a ways down the road. The car did not sell well and the aftermarket following never really developed outside of a couple of vendors.

All-in-all a very good platform to work from. Handling could be better but is easily fixed with the Mopar sway bar kit. Interior is a large chunk of plastic however the seats are really comfortable. There is a ton of room inside and can be handy in the utilitarian role.

When I had my mods on the car I was laying down 350WHP. It is a front wheel drive car and this combination is just no good for traction. I could spin the tires in 3rd gear at 60MPH. Plenty fast but just sucked from a stop. Mileage was excellent as well. I was averaging 27MPG with mixed driving (in-town and freeway). Hard to beat.

My decision to get rid of it: I have 0 confidence that Chrysler/Fiat will pull out of the slump they are in and I don't want to be stuck with a car that was limited production, limited parts availability and having warranty repair availability issues. I purchased the car for $7K under MSRP and will not take too much of a bath on it. Also I want to step back into a pushrod V8 again and can easily afford it so why not? I love the new Camaro design. Wife already drives a 2010 Mustang GT. I like what the 2011 offers but the new Camaro has design hints of the '69 which is my all time favorite muscle car.

Sorry for the diatribe.

My window sticker was $27K. I paid $20K. Blue book on the car is $18K with 10K miles which is what I would/will ask.

Bose
Polished wheels
LS3

Not sure on the color. One of the following:
Black with white stripes
Red with white stripes
White with orange stripes
White with black stripes
Blue with white stripes

I am leaning to white with orange stripes atm but may change my mind.
