And the lucky winners are....
A bit over a month ago I offered up a contest for froum members. 5 pictures were posted and the challenge was to identify and write something about the picture.

Three winners have been chosen. The prizes are a copy of a great book about the history of Chevrolet's covert racing operations.
Thanks to all who participated and congrats to the winners!
Without further ado, the winners are:
Z284ever
Tigger#76
Big Als Z
Winners, please PM me your mailing address. I will ship the books when I arrive home from the Philadelphia Auto Show.
* Pic #5 is Jimmy Perkins. Perhaps Scott Settlemire will write a line of 2 about Mr. Perkins significant place in Chevrolet and to performance fans of the brand. I will offer that he's the reason I am a Corvette owner.

I know it is late, but a little something about Jim Perkins..
He was the Chevrolet Division General Manager at the time that the Impala SS as we know it was given the green light for production....he's the one who made it all happen as far as the model being approved for production by the corporate higher-ups.
Since retiring from GM, Mr Perkins has been an executive with the Hendrick Automotive/Motorsport organizations. And for those that saw the Barrett Jackson Auctions this year, he was the one who won the bidding on the 510 Impala SS Concept car. Supposedly (most likely) Rick Hendrick was on the other end of the cell phone.
