I'd say GM would be stupid to make it not be a 40th anniversary. It's too much of a coincidence that Mustang was re-designed 04/05, to look similar to the 64's.. It would be, could be, and should be history repeating itself 40 years later. GM could really hit this one out of the park if they got it as a 40th anniversary model that blows away all the competition just like in 1967..

Ahh.. dreams i know.. but very pleasant ones No?

I would take anything a salesperson says with a grain of salt. Anyways, my guess would be Summer 08' and an 09' model.

AFAIK, GM tells its dealers very little. The sales people will make stuff up if they think it will get you back in the showroom again.

Just a guess , but I really dont think a saleable car will reach a dealer until sometime in 2008 . Watch those factory announcements , I believe thats gonna be your production hold up and not the actual completion of the car itself .

Yeah, and I went to a Chevy dealer around ~March of 2002 and they salesman had no clue about when the latest order for a 2002 Camaro could be made. He didn't even know exactly when they were being discontinued. Said he thought maybe some time in September?

Well when I talked to someone back in 2004 about the Camaro. I told them I wanted to be at the Detroit Auto show in 2006 when the Camaro Showed back up, I was told That I wouldnt see the car there. ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm well the car is going to be there so I was right on that part.

So I want to say that if the Camaro makes it self known in 2007 its going to be a Very limited production 40th anniv. car. then come out in full production in 08 as an 08 MY.

I'm guessing 2009. It took the Solstice almost 4 years to make it into production. What makes anyone here think the Camaro will be any sooner?

This car could be alot further along than any of us think. I dont think they're exactly starting from scratch here at this point in time. However I would expect to see it (hopefully) early '08 or late '08.
